The Alvarez family have been growing coffee in El Salvador for over 100 years spanning four generations. Their award-winning farms are located on the lush green hills of Santa Ana. In the west of the country, whose rich volcanic soils and mild climate provide ideal conditions for growing coffee. The family offer considerable support to local communities with schools and health clinics provided for free on their farms.

Coffee cherries on the farm are hand picked and collected in traditional weaved baskets from December until March by pickers who have been specially trained to select only the best fully mature coffee cherries. The cherries then undergo a traditional “washed” process.

This coffee has notes of dark chocolate & caramel complimented by citrus acidity.
